Good Day and Happy Sunday Smudge Day my Zenful Readers. How was everyone's week, how was it for your family, your kids? I hope everyone had a great week, and that you all had a pleasant weekend and are ready for the week ahead. I had a busy week at home and work. And ever since I met my animal guide last week, I am feeling different.. in a good way. Have any of you Zenful Readers met your animal guide? Its not difficult to do, to meet him or her, unless of course it isn't time for you to meet him or her. Then that will just take time. =) But when you guys meet, man what an experience. Its awesome! As I mentioned last week I will be adding a picture of one gemstone a week and share with you it's description. This Sunday's Gemstone is: Sodalite

Sodalite Gemstone meaning

Sodalite brings inner peace. Keep sodalite in your pockets and in every room of your house, so its peaceful properties will flow all around you.

Sodalite is a dark blue stone with white calcite interspersed. It is sometimes confused with lapis lazuli as it also has small specks of pyrite in it. The largest deposit of sodalite is in Brazil.

Sodalite is the stone of athletics, as it stimulates endurance. It is said sodalite will harmonize the inner being or the conscious and subconscious mind. Sodalite promotes peace and harmony. Sodalite is extra lucky for writers.

Healing properties of Sodalite

Sodalite is associated with the thyroid. It is perfect in a necklace. Wear it when you want to lose a few pounds. It helps in communicating and will give confidence to speak more.

She is a calming stone for sure and she has been helpful during my writings. The thyroid I am not sure since I don't use it for that, but I am sure along my journey I will find out if it has in fact helped anyone with this issue. 

I definitely need to use my gemstones more. I had a major headache over the weekend and I placed the amethyst on my forehead and could feel the pain ease, until I removed the stone, pain came back. That's how well these stones work, or at least for me they do. I should make an amethyst headband lol, for headaches. =) I hope you enjoyed viewing this week's stone. She has such great coloring, doesn't she. I enjoy having her in my collection.

And as we slowly bring this Sunday's blog to a close, I'd like to remind all of you Zenful Readers that this Thursday and is the New Moon. Are any of you doing a New Moon Ceremony this week? I am not certain if I will this week. I will definitely smudge for the New Moon...but I don't think I will do a Ceremony. I'll keep ya'll posted because I may do it for next month. It'll give me a full 30 days to decide what supplies I will need before then. Well, lets get us ready for the week ahead with some Sunday Smudging on this final Sunday of January.

Please release us all of any negative energy that does not suit or support our needs. Please Lord and Universe be here with us and help us during our time of needing healing, protection, revelation, and wisdom. 

Please let us all have a drama free and great work week. Let our kids have a wonderful week at school and or day care. Please let all issues regarding friendships, spouses or family be resolved as they are meant to be. In a kind and peaceful manner.

Wolf/Full Moon, Animal/Spiritual Guides, and all Thangs Positive!!

Good Day and Happy Sunday Smudge Day my Zenful Readers. How was everyone's week? I hope you and your family's week was a positive one. My week was quite spiritual and positive. (Don't forget to drink your water, I'll be smudging soon.)

I was able to smudge for a friend of mine's sick kitty. I am no doctor as I have mentioned many times before. But I am a big believer, in the power of positive energy. Lucky for me I am not the only believer and when it comes from the heart, and you send positive energy out with good intent it can have an amazing outcome. Not too long after a group of us did just that, the sick kitty slowly began to show signs of improvement, with the love and help of her human mama, and her kitty brothers and sisters rallying around her in support. I am hoping Ms. Maggie is comfortable as I type this and surrounded by her family.

I was also able to help my friend by cleansing her work energy, so, she was able to get a work program she was having problems with, work properly. She told me literally within minutes of me sending her the picture of the sage bundle I was burning for her, her project worked. Sometimes, our lives energy, is blocked and it needs a little cleansing/smudging to help unblock and then BAM, all better! I am cheesy that I was able to help these women and more so that they felt the magic of of the sage work so well.

For me this week, I did smudge a few times in the morning before I left for work in the am. To ensure that I would have a positive work week. It too helped me out. 
I am grateful every day that my Earth Sister Amy, introduced me to The Native American Smudging ways. This week was an extra special and exciting week for me, in that I met my Animal/Spirit Guide on this Full/Wolf Moon. It was very exciting and nothing like I expected. In order to attempt to meet your Spirit Guide, one needs to mediate. Below are two links that can give you more details on how to find your Animal/Spirit Guide through meditation. The second link you will find, what each meaning of the Animal Guides are. My Wiccan Sistah, Lisa told me that it is very important to not mention the name of your Animal Guide to anyone, once it has been revealed to you. So, please take extra special care and respect for your Guide. 

Not only was I fortunate enough to be able to see, my Animal Guide. I was also fortune enough to be able to help and witness my dearest friend Yessi, see hers for the first time. Of course I wasn't in her minds eye or anything like that. Astral Projection there was none. I am not able to do that. =) But since she had never meditated, I helped set the tone in my zenful room. I gifted, Yessi a little red candle for her astral color, and a cute little glass candle holder and a cute notebook so she can write her thoughts down, for this special occasion. I asked her to bring her own gemstones and to ensure she was dressed comfy. Despite the unexpected snowy weather yesterday, Yessi made it to my home safely for an evening of meditation followed by dinner and drinks. I was honored that she asked me to show her. We were both excited. After I lit her candle and and she placed the stones in the manner she wanted, I gave her two of her own gemstones to hold as she went onto her spiritual journey. She sat back in my chair, I have in my zenroom, I smudged her to help cleanse her of any negative energies and she closed her eyes focused on her breathing as the sound of meditation music flowed in the background. When her eyes opened again about thirty minutes later, her eyes were of wonder and surprise. She saw her Animal Guide. She was amazed and happy and in awe of the experience. We continued with our girls night, with much discussion of her experience and our future plans for us both over dinner and our cosmos. What a great evening we had. We both had a great time reading over the meaning of her Animal Guide, it was spot on for her. Lol. Starting today I will be sharing with you one stone a week from my collection of gemstones. I will also share what each of their meanings area and where I purchase them. The first one I'd like to show you, my most favorite of gemstones, The Amethyst. Pictured below are one pointed amethyst, one rough, and the smaller one is called a smooth tumble stone.

(Amethyst Gemstone meaning

Crystalline quartz in shades of purple, lilac or mauve is called amethyst, a stone traditionally worn to guard against drunkeness and to instill a sober mind. The word amethyst comes from the Greek meaning "without drunkenness" and amethyst is believed to protect one from poison.

Power Stone

It is used as a dream stone and to help insomnia. Put an amethyst under your pillow to bring about pleasant dreams, or rub it across your forehead to offer relief from a headache.

Protection Stone

Ancient Egyptians used the amethyst guard against guilty and fearful feelings. It has been worn as protection from self-deception, as well as a protection against witchcraft. The amethyst has long been used to open the spiritual and psychic centers, making it one of the power stones. It is also used as a meditation aid when worn as a necklace.

Wisdom Stone

The amethyst is known as the Bishop's Stone and is still worn by Catholic Bishops. The amethyst symbolizes piety, humility, sincerity and spiritual wisdom. It is thought the amethyst is the perfect stone to symbolize The Age of Aquarius.

Healing properties of Amethyst

Amethyst is a gemstone often worn by healers, as it has the power to focus energy. A healer will usually wear several pieces of jewelry with amethysts set in silver, especially an amethyst necklace. The person to be healed will have an Amethyst to hold while the healing is being done. The healer will place another piece of Amethyst on the area of the body in need of healing, the heart or lungs usually.

Amethyst is used for problems in the blood and in breathing problems. Amethyst crystal clusters are used to keep the air and life force in the home clean and positive.

Amethyst clusters, points or several tumbled Amethysts placed in a window that receives sun most of the day are very beneficial to use in healing and to heal negativity in the home. Place Amethyst clusters, points or several tumbled Amethysts in moonlight and everyone in the home will be feeling calmer. Using an Amethyst as a meditation focus will increase the positive spiritual feelings. Amethyst helps overcome fears and cravings. It also helps relieve headaches.)

New Year, New Energy

Good Day and Happy Sunday, My Zenful Readers. How have you all been? How's your New Year been so far these last few weeks? Well, I hope! As you've noticed I didn't add an entry last Sunday. I will be honest, I nearly ended my Zenful Journey Blog. But in these few weeks and after speaking with my husband, a few friends here at home, and a few of, whom I now consider to be my family as well as my now avid Zenful readers have helped lift my own energy and journey of discouragement. Thanks to your words which I hold dear and a few changes, I am now back on track. :) One of my sistahs said I may have just needed to step away from the blogging for a bit, but that I shouldn't stop all together. And I agree. I did also gift myself a little technology that will help me share my journey a lot easier with you all, than how I shared it in the past. So, I am grateful that I was in the position to purchase my newest toy. Leia. lol. She's all white and extra pretty and reminded me of Princess Leah, in her all white outfit. Star Wars fans know what I speak of lol! I'm like 7% Geek, I think. LOL.

So with this, my New Zenful Journey Blog, entry of the New Year I will share with you all, my purging experience that I did a few weeks back. Then, I will end this Blog with The Sunday Smudge Day Cleansing. 

So a few weeks ago after I had already written down on paper what I wanted to purge. I set up my room for a Major Zenful Spiritual and Purging Ceremony. When I do these ceremonies depending where I am (outside or inside) I will use different items to help me feel that I am closer to the earth. After all when working my magic I should be feeling grounded to the earth. 

Since the weather was too cold and very damp I had to make do with my Ceremony being done indoors, which is totally fine as well. These are the tools I used for my Ceremony: I used a brown scarf I had to represent the earth, I also used a brown candle which I always use as my astral candle. (I use its candle to represent me and the element, fire) As you see in the picture below I also added a few of my gemstones for their energy; Amethyst, two Blue Agates, and my aquamarine. I also, used the sage bundle, which is a mix of cedar, sage, and dessert sage, and its abalone shell, a small cast iron pan where my written intent will burn.

  I opened the ceremony with my opening smudging prayer and asked for protection and cleansing during my time purging. Once I had the candle lit as well as smudged my circle I was ready to read off my intent and set it to flame to let go of any stuff and thangs, that were negative in 2013, that no longer suits and supports my needs. Once I read this out loud I set the intent on fire, purged and let it burn out clearing me from any old negative energy that may have been lurking.

It was very powerful for me and I felt the negativity, that no matter how hard we try to let go of can still hold on to us, dissolve and disappear. It was very releasing. The act of lighting to flame all that you don't want to take with you into this New Year; the symbolism of burning away and not having the bad parts of the years past, join us in our present. Is very powerful indeed. 

Once I was done and purged, I closed the ceremony with the closing prayer and ended the ceremony with toasting to the New Year. Oh what, a Spiritual and Zenful Journey it was.

And folks that was my Zenful New Year Purging Ceremony. This can be done at any time of course. For me personally is more powerful when done during an important time, i.e., New Years Eve, New and or Full Moons. But again, it can be done at any time. As long as it feels right to you in your own heart, then its the right time. I hope you have enjoyed my purging experience.
