Last Sunday of 2013

Hello my Zenful readers and Happy Last Sunday of 2013 to you all!!! How was your Christmas with your family and friends? I hope it was a memorable one. In the end it's about the children, is it not? As long as they have had a great Christmas that is all that matters. It is always nice to be gifted of course but for me this year my main focus were my children. And for my family, it indeed was a pleasant one. I was home with my children for the Christmas break and it was great. Time away from work to help recharge my mind was much needed. There are a lot of changes happening at work in this coming New Year and having myself away from a place that can bring negative energy due to this change, well I'm very grateful. I'm feeling as I should. Rested.

I also started a new tradition with my daughter this Christmas. Since she is older and can really enjoy it now. This year marked the first year that we started getting mani/pedis together before Christmas Eve. It was my gift to her. She quite enjoyed it and so did I. We will of course go often for some mother daughter bonding time. But it'll be an extra treat for us during Christmas time. :) My baby girl is getting older and these are the moments I will for sure cherish with her. Soon she will be off with friends and or working. So this time together is wonderful. Do you have any traditions that you have with your children? Or even with your loved ones? I do enjoy hearing about others traditions. The only tradition I'm a bit put off is New Years Resolution.

(This one spoke to me. Truth from experience)

This making New Years Resolutions is usually not easy for me. Not because I can't keep them. But because it's become such a cliché. We have a chance to change every day?! Do we not? Not just on the Eve of the final day of the year?. So for a while (a few years) I wouldn't even make any New Years resolutions. However, what I have begun to do is purge~~write down all what I want to let go of from 2013~~and burn them in a smudging ceremony ritual. (Same as a full moon ritual.)

What do I want to let go? Could be anything? Maybe I needed to let go of anger I had of certain situations that kept popping up this past year. Maybe it has to do with a relationship and or a friendship, a work situation that has slowly ended. It can be anything that no longer suits and or supports me and my family's needs. For me this fits me best to ensure that none of what wasn't, "any good" for me this past year, will now be let go of and not follow me into this New Year. What are some of the things you'd like to purge and let go of from this soon to be old year? Whatever it is. Write them all down and get them ready for purging on New Years Eve.

(Thoughts become things; same as Ask. Believe. Receive)

I've even gone a step further. I've taken a section of my room and have added an ASK. BELIEVE. RECEIVE wall. (I may have mentioned this before) Here is a place where I can write on paper and or cut certain pictures from magazines and tape them up. I see this wall everyday. It's a reminder of what is coming into my future. Not only will I purge away all of what I do not want but I will also Ask for what I want. And then once it's in the air. I will Believe that the Universe is getting my package ready for delivery. And finally it's all about sitting back and Receiving all of what I've Asked and Believed I'd get.     But most importantly. Be Thankful for what I have received. It's simple really. Just keep doubt away from your mind. We all are allowed to be happy and even though at times what we may think is our happiness. It actually may not be (for the moment) and our journey shifts to a different path in which our happiness is actually on. So be patient and always be thankful for what we have. For happiness lies within. Once we have that happiness inside it will shine and be felt by those around you. YOU can light the way for someone. We all are beacons within. Me I'm personally a light house. (For those that have come to know me know what I mean. Haha)

On Tuesday December 31st, that afternoon. Most likely a bit after dinner. I will begin my New Years Eve Ceremony. It can be as simple or elaborate as you'd like it to be.

Once I've selected and placed a few of my gemstones in it's proper place for this ceremony. I'll use my candles light of course to represent fire. And I'll also have a bowl of water and a bowl of salt. Both representing water and earth. Finally the air I breathe will represent air. And because this is a special ceremony I'll also have a glass of white wine (you can have a glass of whichever is your favorite drink (wink wink,)!yes guinny too). This, drinking of wine is an added incentive. One may also add a special treat as well. I will only drink wine. :) lush, yes I know :)

(We are the elements. The elements are Us)

I have a very small cast iron pan that I will use for the first time. This tool will always be in my kit as well. This small pan is where I will purge (safety first) and will also be in the circle as well. Once I have all the items I need I will begin casting my circle by walking around it clockwise with my sage wand and say something to the effect of; as I circle this scared space of mine may no harm or foul enter only good will towards (wo)man can, be invited in; I say this three times three, I so mote it be. I'll enter and knowing those whom I usually call upon are with me as well. I will then sit in a meditative state for a bit, to ground myself as the sage continues to be lit, filling my senses with it's smoke. Once I am where I need to be. I will then read each message and at the end burn each piece of paper until each sheet is ash (or read it all from the page and ensure the paper is all burned). I will close the circle by thanking all that has been with me, watching over me during this rite. Circling the outer circle again to close it up good and take a sip of the wine that I have as an offering to end this ritual.

It's very liberating for me. And if you try it I hope it's liberating for you as well. For me I feel it definitely helps me close a chapter in my life that once more no longer suits or supports my needs!! If you try this. Please let me know. I'd love to know how this experience has helped you or how you felt.

You don't need to follow all of what I do. Whatever feels right by you is how it will be right for you. :) there is no wrong way or right way as long as you follow your heart. I will take pictures of my New Years Eve Ceremony ritual and share this with you all next Sunday.

(One of my Favorite quotes from Buddha)

Well maybe at this time we should wrap up and begin our own Sunday Smudge Day! Let's make this one a good one, kids. It is after all the last Sunday of 2013. :)

Opening smudge prayer

I'd like to ask The Lord our Father as well The Universe to be here with us today as I smudge & cleanse each of those that are reading this.

I'd like to also ask my ancestors to be present, as well as the elements earth, rain, wind, & fire to be here with us. I'd like to call on the goddess of the north, east, south & west. As well as our archangels Raphael for healing, Michael for protection, Gabriel for revelation & Uriel for wisdom.

Please release us all of any negative energy that does not suit or support our needs. Please Lord and Universe be here with us and help us during our time of needing healing, protection, revelation, and wisdom.

Please let us all have a drama free and great work week. Let our kids have a wonderful week at school and or day care. Please let all issues regarding friendships, spouses or family be resolved as they are meant to be. In a kind and peaceful manner.

(I took this picture outside this evening. It's pouring outside tonight and cold. But both candle and sage wand help up for me. It was meant)

Please let the sage smoke carry away all your worries and blow them away with the element wind, burn them away with the element fire, soak them away with the element water so that the element earth may ground you. Take these few minutes to visual this and clear this away......

Closing smudge prayer:

I'd like to thank you Lord and the Universe for giving me opportunity to share my Zenful experience with others. I want to thank my ancestors for being present. I'd like to also, thank the elements earth, rain, wind, & fire for being with us. I'd like to thank the goddess of the north, east, south & west. As well as our archangels Raphael for healing, Michael for protection, Gabriel for revelation & Uriel for wisdom.

Thank you Lord and Universe for always looking out for us and for giving us all the Blessings of a wonderful Christmas week. Thank you for my yesterday, for my today and for the abundance of a wonderful new week ahead.

'Twas the Sunday before Christmas....

Good day and happy Sunday before Christmas. I hope today's Smudge Day reading finds you all healthy and well on this Festive Sunday. I hope guys all had a wonderful week before Christmas.

(Merry Christmas to all!!)

I know it's been a hectic week for us all; what with getting together the last minute gifts for our loved ones. Baking cookies and or breads or chocolatety treats. Are you preparing baskets for gifts and or seasoning the turkey or pork shoulder, as is my custom. All these tasks although done with positive energy can defiantly exhausts us.

Please always remember to take the time to breathe for a few minutes. We, as the hosts, can forget to take a beat and mediate and or just be still and quiet during this busy time of year. Let's take the that quiet time now.

I won't keep you all, since it's a busy time for us all. But if I may ask us to take this time and to remove any negative thoughts or worries from our minds. Let us, as we drink our water, clear our minds as best we can. And all go to our happy places. Take a deep breathe. Release that energy. Are we ready?

Opening smudge prayer:
(Green candle helps heal emotional pain. The white gives protection for our home and our children, brown is my astral color)

Let our children have a wonderful Christmas week off from school and or day care. Please let all issues regarding friendships, our children, our spouses or family be resolved as they are meant to be. In a kind and peaceful manner.

(Sage smoke flows right towards the open window flowing to each of you)

Please see the sage smoke carry away all your worries and blow them away with the element wind, burning them away with the element fire, soaking them away with the element water so that the element earth may ground you. Take these few minutes to visual this and clear this away......

Closing smudge prayer

I'd like to thank you Lord and the Universe for giving me the opportunity to share my Zenful experience with others during this busy Holiday time.

Thank you Lord and Universe for always looking out for us and for giving us all the Blessings we have. Thank you for my yesterday, for my today and for the abundance of a wonderful week ahead.

Two Sundays before Christmas. One before the Full Moon

Good day my Zenful readers and Happy Sunday to you all. How was your week? Mine has been crazy busy at work and with the family but it's been positive! Thanks to those that have been sending positive energy to my family and my way. I deeply appreciate it! The magic of Positive and Loving energy is amazing is it not?

(Thanks to my Aussie friend for sharing this lovely pic and message)

Smudging before I leave for work has helped me tremendously as well.  We are at our mid Sunday point of the month my fellow readers. A few more weeks and the old year will be leaving us and the new year will be upon us! Can you believe there's ten days until Christmas!? Wow, how quickly that crept on us, eh? :)

I know this is/can be a pretty stressful time of year for us. The spirit of Christmas is lost on us because of all the pieces that need to be connect to make it so. As parents we work our badunkadunks off to make our children have the best Christmas possible. Its a shame we live in a time when materialistic stuff & thangs is what seems to be important. It would be lovely to see us give each other the gift from the heart. Something made by ones own hand. Something to hold onto as a memory. For me, that's the spirit of Christmas. With technology on the rise as it is. It's hard for this to be achieved. But not impossible. If we teach our children they will learn and in turn teach theirs. We must keep the circle of our future generations as pure with sentiments as we can. For the meaning of Christmas and good old St. Nick won't be lost on us. I know I have mentioned this in the last blog and I am not sorry for mentioning it again. Why?

Because this is a time where people need cheer!! People need positive energy! This is a time that we need to take a step back and take a good deep breathe (smudge) take a walk in your favorite park, see a deer or two (the movement, no, not a walker) take a deep breath and breathe in the ocean air if we work at the docks! Or if we work from home?! Look out the window as a koala (who aren't bears) takes a quick look at you to wish you a hello. Or maybe as you search for feral cherubs to save, you feel it in your energy that what you are doing is exactly as it should be.

As I leave work in my busy city I always look up at the sky. Because I know. We are all looking up at this same sky. No matter where we are, what time of day it is. Take a beat! Take a moment to appreciate the breathe we have taken. Even if we are in our "new" jobs at our desk not as busy as you'd want to be. But you have the job that you wanted! All these are Blessings to bring us closer to our truest self. We need to take the time to hear it and feel it.

And on this note. Let's begin our Sunday Smudge Day shall we? I know everyone has had their water yes?

Opening smudge prayer:
I'd like to ask The Lord our Father as well The Universe to be here with us today as I smudge & cleanse each of those that are reading this.

(Sage smoke is flowing towards my open window...flowing towards you all to release all the negativity you may have and or to recharge your energy)

(Love the still of the smoke, which is once more flowing towards you)

Please release us all of any negative energy that does not suit or support our needs. Please Lord and Universe be here with us and help us during our time of needing healing, protection, revelation, and wisdom.

Please let us all have a drama free and great work week. Let our kids have a wonderful week at school and or day care. Please let all issues regarding friendships, spouses or family be resolved as they are meant to be. In a kind and peaceful manner.

First Sunday of December...the changes that continue.

Good day my Zenful readers. Happy first Sunday of December. I'd like to begin by apologizing for not posting an entry last week. I had some personal stuff and thangs I needed to take care of within my family which prevented me from blogging. I do hope that my Zenions had the most wonderful, memorable, and fulfilling Thanksgiving with your loved ones.

Have you started Christmas shopping yet? Some folks have started way before December. I've even known people that are done shopping by Thanksgiving. High five for the early shoppers!! That's what's up!! I won't lie, it trips me out! Lol I think it's awesome don't get me wrong! I'm not a hater. :P And I can proudly say, that I've hmm??, maybe some years back now.... I was done shopping by the last week of November. It felt awesome!! This year I'm nearly done. Feels good too.

Sometimes we feel the stress of not being able to buy all these expensive babbles. The stress of wondering that it may not be enough. Especially if you have more than one child. This one yearly holiday has us by the cojones lol. Just keepin it real!! I am not speaking about monetary but emotional as well. (Family holiday issues, we all got em!!) Instead of being and staying stressed over the holidays let's change how we feel.....

Merry Christmas ~13.

~~~don't forget to drink your water~~~
We know we can change our attitudes. It can be done if one sets their mind to it. What with the whole laws of attraction, thoughts become things, mind set. I do believe that, what we think to be, takes us to the journey of the belief we have created.
Change, negative or positive, surrounds us whether we want it or not. Whether we expect it; prepare for it, and know deep down it's for the best. Change is there. Waiting for us. But it's how we deal with this change that can make or break us.
I feel that if we try to resist the said change. The harder our journey will be. So for example if you have had a relationship shift and you know that all was done to try to keep it whole, but you know deep down that it's time to end it. You already know what I'm going to say.....End it. Cry it out, wail, release the agony that a breakup brings. Or at the very least begin the steps to. But by not acknowledging it, you have failed yourself and your own wellbeing, happiness, and healing.
Yes, it is easier said than done. It's always easier said than done. That's why it is always best to step away from the opinions and experiences of others and surround yourself by only your thoughts and feelings, and listen to your own voice, your own heart and mind. Only you will know what the out come will be. It's you're journey after all.
Pushing it away and or ignoring it will only make it worse to deal with; when you finally do. All these feelings will make you stronger. I promise you. Speaking from my own experience. Its the strength you'll need to help move you onto the new journey that's waiting for you. It's scary isn't it? But exciting at the same time! Sometimes our journey turns onto a different path; we begin with someone you thought you'd be with forever to only to end up with someone else entirely. Or even end, alone, with a cat and it dog, which then you wouldn't be alone, would you?. :P hehe
The longer we resist change the longer we resist our potential to be all we can be as an individual. Let's begin shedding it together. The year is a few weeks from being over. Is there anything you want to change or let go of? I know there is for me and I will face this change. Which, I can now admit I am not looking forward to it. But I also know that things will be okay, it is meant to be. It's my daughters journey but since she's still not able to walk alone I'm guiding her on her path. And it is up to me to help her journey be as positive as I will it. Thoughts become things.
Let's start today be clearing and cleansing out any negative energy from this past year. I have a few things in mind that I feel will help me say goodbye to 2013 and a HELLO!! to 2014 in a positive light. We still have three more Sundays of this old year cleansing so don't feel you have to do it all today. It can be exhausting after all :) Maybe you can make a list of the things you want to change so you may begin your 2014, Zenful Journey with positive and newly recharged energy.
Thanksgiving Sunday Eve...
Hello my Zenful Readers. :) How are you all today? How was your week and weekend over all? Mine has been utterly exhausting. It's been very busy at work for me. Our busiest time of the year. More so because a new program has been implemented. So needless to say I'm coming home from work exhausted. I almost didn't write an entry today. I was of course, going to communicate this with you, my Zenful readers. But after talking to my hubby about how I knew that a few of my readers looked forward to the readings and Sunday Smudge Day I knew I had to. I've had a few of my friends that read my blog actually contact me on what time I'd be posting. (It was later than usually, a few Sundays ago and I hadn't posted the Blog yet) I knew I had to post one after thinking about that. And as I began, I smiled; it was meant. I could feel the energy as my thoughts flowed and I typed.
It's obvious, of course, what my entry will be about today. Yup! Being Thankful. :) I of course am thankful for the life I've had. All of it. And if you know me, deeply know me, my journey didn't begin in a positive light. I was in the shadows for many years. I'm thankful for where my journey has led me. I wouldn't be here now had my book of life been written other wise. Yes, some of my youth had been hard but, I am thankful for it. I wouldn't be a mother of two wonderfully good hearted children and I'm so thankful for that. I'm grateful for our family cat Valentine's. (Pictured below) And I'm also thankful for having the opportunity to be married to my children's father, my best friend; since we were ten and eleven years old. We've been together for seventeen years, married eleven out of the seventeen. Our years haven't been without great challenge and at times we've thought,...this is it. But we have come together full circle. I know I can say for the both of us that we are grateful for where our journey has led us. It wasn't and isn't easy. But we are grateful for the path we have been led to.
I'm grateful for my job despite how frustrating it can be. I'm grateful for that. Because then I know I have a job I can be frustrated with. I'm grateful that we both have good jobs so we are able to provide a decent home for the small family we have created.
I am grateful for the friends I have. And now is where I'll give my shout outs! I'm grateful for the following people that mean so much to me. Thank you for being my friend through my good times and bad. And being there for me when I didn't have the strength to be strong.
Thank you, Mari, Ziggy, Amy, Vicki, Aida, Yessi, Jill/family, Bonnie/Rosie, Lisa.
For those that I've just met since I launched my Zenful Blog via my Google+ account. I'm so thankful for you all as well. I'm grateful for the friendship that we have developed over these short weeks which have now turned into months. G.C., Lola, Dee, Jane, Lisa, Karen, Billy, Linda, Darcy, Elizabeth, & Hector.
For those relationships that have just begun to blossom, I'm grateful for you as well.
The laughs and support we give each other is as if we have known each other forever. It's amazing. I'm thankful for that! I thank each of you for that!
I'd like to wrap up this Thankful Blog with a huge THANK YOU to those that have taken the time to read all my Zenful Sunday Smudge Day Blog! I hope they help get your week started.
Shall we begin to smudge? I already know you've been drinking water as you've been reading. :) Lets get to it.
November's Full Moon Purging.
Hello and Happy Sunday my fellow Zenful readers. How are you today? How was your week? And how's your weekend been? I've been on relax mode. Which is what I needed. I was feeling under the weather mid week and in listening to my body I wanted to rest this weekend to prepare for the busy work week I know I have ahead. Not to mention Thanksgiving  Day/long weekend after that. I am very excited for Thanksgiving Day. It's one of the few days a year that I go all out for my family and cook and bake everyone's favorite foods and desserts. And in the end I have an easy long weekend with the family with plenty of yumminess to heat and serve from all our leftovers. I also start decorating for Christmas the day after Thanksgiving so it makes it very easy for me after all the cooking and baking.
As I type I can't help but feel the excitement and coziness that surrounds my home for the holidays season. During this time my home carries the scent of apple and cinnamon as one comes in. I have a two cinnamon shaped brooms over both our front door and back door of our home. I love the scene as I walk into our home after a long day at work. It literally melts my stress away. That wonderful healing scent of cinnamon and apple. I've been ignoring all the early Christmas decorations that have already filled the stores. They've started earlier this year and I am not ready for it. But now, today, that we are only one more weekend away from Thanksgiving Day I'm feeling the magic that is, The Christmas Spirit. :) But before we can think of Saint Nick, let's get through this November's Full Moon shall we? Do you have your water handy? Drink up as you get your items ready for this purging ritual.
Let's get right to it, shall we readers? First off, I'd like to share with you a site that will give you a nice read on the Full Moon Ritual. I loved how I attracted this site to me in my google search. I am a firm believer that we attract what is in our thoughts. I wanted a good easy ready site on this subject and this is what I got. Thank you Universe!!!
http://www.soulalchemyhealing.com/full-moon-release.html
The items you will need for your purging ceremony. A pencil and paper so you're able to write down on paper what you need to purge, release, change and or let go of. I wrote four items down. You will also need a fire proof pot to let each of your intents burn as well as water in case the fire gets out of hand. Of course when handling lighters, matchers or any type of flames, please be extra careful.
Once I had written down my intent of what my changes will be, I began with my ceremony. Nothing much has changed or is different from our usual past Sunday Smudge Days, as you view the pictures below you will see.
I have, however, added a bowl of water to represent the element, water. I have the gemstones and even the heart shaped painted rock to represent, earth; candles lit represent, fire, and air, which since I'm inside my home, we'll make due with the air in my lungs. We will also be outdoors and will be able to use the element, air when we go outside for the purging part.
Let's begin with our opening smudging prayer. I'd like to ask The Lord our Father as well The Universe to be here with us today as I smudge on this Full Moon Sunday and cleanse each of those that are reading this.
I'd like to also ask my ancestors to be present, as well as the elements earth, rain, wind, & fire to be here with us. I'd like to call on the goddess of the north, east, south & west. As well as our archangels Raphael for healing, Michael for protection, Gabriel for revelation & Uriel for wisdom.
Please release us all of any negative energy that does not suit or support our needs. Please Lord and Universe be here with us and help us during our time of needing healing, protection, revelation, and wisdom.
Please let us all have a drama free and great work week. Let our kids have a wonderful week at school and or day care. Please let all issues regarding friendships, spouses or family be resolved as they are meant to be. In a kind and peaceful manner.
I'd like to use this time for you to join me in saying each of our intent out loud as well as light each of our intents aflame so that we may begin the change, let go, purge, and or release that negativity, that bad feeling that we may be holding on.
Below you will see a picture of the items I use for my ceremony. Water, Earth, and Fire.
~~Don't forget to breathe and release the negative energies when you exhale~~
Let the flame flicker and eat away at what we are changing to make us a better individual for ourselves, our children, our spouse, and our friends and family members. We have the control to change and mold our lives the way we want it. Outside crap can get in the way of this but we must learn to not forget so we can be a happy human. We are each beautiful individuals; we are worthy of wonderful things. Let go of any doubt you may have of yourself. If this doubt was planted because of a past negative experience. Let us let go together. Let us look at life with a positive light. Hold my hand and I will help you walk out of darkness. You are not alone. None of us are. Unless we choose to be. There are still good people out there. We must attract that so we may receive it and surround ourselves of the wondrous light of love and laugher and positive energy.
Let your messages be released into the Universe so the may be heard....
Please see the sage smoke carry away all your worries, intents, and blow them away with the element wind, burn them away with the element fire, soak them away with the element water so that the element earth may ground you.
Take these few minutes to visual this and clear this away......
Everyone okay??
We are nearly done :) now for the closing prayer.
I'd like to thank you Lord and the Universe for giving me opportunity to share my Zenful experience with others on This November Full Moon Sunday. I want to thank my ancestors for being present. I'd like to also, thank the elements earth, rain, wind, & fire for being with us. I'd like to thank the goddess of the north, east, south & west. As well as our archangels Raphael for healing, Michael for protection, Gabriel for revelation & Uriel for wisdom.
Thank you Lord and Universe for always looking out for us and for giving us all the Blessings we have. Thank you for my yesterday, for my today and for the abundance of a wonderful week ahead.
I'd like to leave you with something I's written a while ago. I feel it's appropriate and fits with the theme of this Blog. Thank you again for joining me on my journey. Until next week.
People come into your life for a reason. These people are whispers in our pages, of our, book of life. These whispers may go as far back as childhood. And the whispers of friendship may be long, the bond tight.
But as does time. All things change. It's okay for these whispers to fade...to end even. Take what a friendship gives, and thats life's many lessons, whether from their eyes or yours. Each whisper is a message. One can have a person pop into their lives. The whispers SO amazing because of the short amount of time one knew the person. One usually goes thru the trusting stages of that whisper/friendship. But that too is a lesson learned.
For those friendships that are new, the whispers may be long lasting.
So if one feels that a friendship has ended, it's okay. Life is a constant change. We each change and flow through our book of life. Some whispers are meant to stay until your last days. Other whispers leave when you thought they'd never. Appreciate ALL that life hands you. Our lives are not written in stone; so laugh from within AND deeply, AND love with all that you have AND all that you are. Blessed Be.
Birthday Blessings.
Good morning and happy Sunday my Zenful readers. How are you on this brisk Sunday? How was your week? I hope you had a pleasant week weather with your family and at work. November is making its way where I'm from. I live in the New England area and the weather is never consistent. One day it's 30 degrees and cold the next day it's a like 50 degrees and warmer. Lol. Gotta love New England, as they always say. After nearly 40 years of living here I've grown accustom to its weather mood swings. :) Some days she blows an autumn breeze my way. Others I can smell that fall crisp air. During the winter days she'll blow a gust of wind that reminds me how wicked she can be with her wind hugs. It all but squeezes the air out of you if you don't cover up with a scarf. That's the New England weather I've come to love. I'm excited for our first snow fall. I've been Blessed by having snow on my birthday. I always see it as a gift from Mr. Freeze. lol I've also been Blessed by having such a great group of friends in my life.
I've mentioned them before in my past blogs. But I think it's important to let those you care for know how you feel and how much they mean to you. Some people come into your life for a short time, yet they leave such an energy with you that you don't, you can't forget about them. (Dee, I miss you)
I've always said that our lives are like a book. And our journeys are our chapters. I'm grateful for each of my journeys. The ugly, the bad, and the great. It's made me who I am today. As hard as some of it may have been. I wouldn't change its course. My journey has also led me to each and everyone of you. And I'm very grateful and humbled by that. Some people I've come to meet, have touched my life for a short time for reasons I may not know but may find out later on, or not. Sometimes we don't have the answers we may be seeking at the moment, on why a person may have entered and or left our life.
They may come in, impact you in a certain way that has given you more confidence. Or maybe they have touched your soul in a way that you will for ever be changed. I'm grateful for every one I've come to meet and know and now call my friends, my family.
I feel Blessed to be able to have learned how to smudge because it has helped my own family and my own friends.
I've even had the opportunity to smudge one of my Google+ besties a few times. (I've mentioned this before) She felt the effects right away and was grateful. Little did she know how grateful I was.. and still am. That she allowed me to help her, and that she was open to my smudging her. That meant a lot to me. Thus making the experience for us both all the more.
This special woman surprised me at my work place by sending me flowers this past Friday with a small soft Bear. (I may have mentioned I collected bears in one of our threads) She planned all this from her home in California. What a most special thing to do for someone, whom, she's only known for a short few months. But in these few short months. This lovely lady and I have connected in a way neither of us expected. And we've grown quite close. You've made such a wonderful great memory for my 40th Birthday weekend. Thank you mi baby girl. Xoxox thank you so very much! I'm grateful for you and your helper from down under :)
I'm also so thankful for those others I've grown close with from my google circle. We have had such great laughs and I'm so grateful for each of you.
I love how we support and encourage each other. We have and bring forward such wonderful positive energy. Our banters make me laugh so hard. It's so wonderful. Thank you for surrounding me with this on a daily. SALU!!! Hugs & chocolate & some Guinny of course! :)
I want to wrap up this Blog by saying thank you to my friends here at home. For the one that's 20 years younger than me and a wonderful first time mom. Despite our age difference we have such a major connection baby sis! Thank you for sharing your & your daughter's life with me.
Thank you for those friends that have been there for me when I needed them the most. You know who you are.
Amy, your encouraging homemade cards I'll cherish them always. Your lavender which I burn and will burn, special today.
And for those days at the Hall when I felt overwhelmed and I'd text you to vent. I'd always get a funny reply to shift my energy. When I need an ibuprofen or four :P You're always there xoxox Or even when you surprise me with a bag of gum and or a yummy cupcake. I thank you.
There's another Cali girl I can't ever forget. She's was born on West side but she's a Bostonian in her heart. I love you my friend, you and Mr cheeks! Xoxox
I dedicate this Sundays Smudge day to you all. May this week be filled with protective, love, great health and positive energy for you and your family. Xoxox
The New Moon In November
Hello my Zenful readers. Happy November and Happy Sunday to you all. How are you this New Moon in November? How was your week over all including your weekend? Did you enjoy your Halloween? The weather was unusually mild by us so it was a lovely warm Halloween for the kids on my neighborhood.
Halloween as you know and I had mentioned is not just a day of "trick or treating". But to also honor those that have passed away. It seems we have all sorts of anniversaries to celebrate when one passes. Would it be to hard to remember them? The knowing that we can't speak to that person, see that person, ever again, is a feeling we never want to feel. One will never know when we may see a loved one again. So for now, let us all embrace one another and love each other because as the saying goes, tomorrow is never promised.
I've been fortunate to not know the devastating feeling of a loved one passing, it's been many years. But I have lost loved ones on the most special of days. Birthdays. It's not easy to loose someone, but to loose them on one's birthday, Father's or Mother's Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas even. I can tell you, first hand, those days, will forever be changed, from what it was. It's a bittersweet feeling. But it's up to us to see how we will mourn and remember. Is there a certain time of year that you'd like to remember? The anniversary of the passing? Or maybe their, birthday is best to remember them, or All Hallows' Eve, Thanksgiving, or Christmas even. Any day of our choosing we can remember someone who's passed away. We can celebrate their life. Yes, it is extremely sad they are not longer with us. But since they aren't, why not remember the light that they were when they were with us.
Let us give a moment of silence for those we have lost. I have also lit this one candle to honor them. Lets bring forth their LIGHT with memories of positive energy, laughter, and good times.........................
As I mentioned in my last entry. These coming months are a time for being extra grateful/thankful, for what we have. Yes we should be grateful/thankful everyday, and I am. But why not add a little extra specialness, since it's the Holiday Season. You'll feel good for it. At least it makes me feel good. I'll share some of my Zenful rituals as our Sundays continue.
For today I'd like share My November's New Moon Ritual. I'm hoping you are drinking your water to ready yourself for our Zenful Journey for Sunday Smudge Day.
The new moon is a good time to make a new beginning. To ask for a new love, healing, renew an old commitment to a new resolution.
It's nice to be outside under the night sky looking up at the moon, with candles lit to represent the element fire, a bowl of water for the element water, and for earth burning my sage wand and dried lavender flowers. But I don't own my own home, yet, and sharing a backyard does prevent me from doing anything out doors but I make do with what I have. :)
I usually do my smudging/prayers during the morning or mid afternoon on Sundays. So night rituals isn't something I am able to do, often. However, I have done smudging ceremonies out on my porch. The weather this new moon has kept me indoors. It's windy and rainy today so from past experience it's easiest to do it indoors when the weather isn't in my favor.
Do you have something that you'd like to begin anew? Think of what that is and let's take this journey together in asking the Universe as well as praying for us to be open to receive the new that is waiting for each of us. We will of course also smudge for us all to have a great week.
Let's begin by breathing deeply and exhaling. Let's clear our mind from the everyday noise for these few moments. Let's ready ourselves to enter our Zenful "happy places".
Today, my Zenful happy place is in Australia. I have a google friend that lives there and she posted some wonderful picture of sunsets and sunrises, by her home. They were all lovely. She had this specific one, that I saw myself there and smudging. I knew this would be my Zenful happy place for today's journey. Are we all ready and in our meditative state?
Opening smudge prayer
I'd like to ask The Lord our Father as well as The Universe to be here with us today on this New Moon as I smudge & cleanse each of those that are reading this.
Please let us all have a drama free and great work week. Let our children have a wonderful week at school and daycare. Please let all issues regarding friendship, spouses or family be resolved as they are meant to be, in a kind and peaceful manner.
Please see the sage and lavender smoke carry away your intent for your new beginnings. See the sage smoke carry away all your worries and see them blown away with the element wind, burn them away with the element fire, soak them away with the element water so that the element earth may ground you. Take these few minutes to visual this and clear this away......
(Today you'll see I've burned both lavender as well as sage. The lavender is the "specialness" for me in this New Moon Ritual.)
Closing smudge prayer
I'd like to thank you Lord and the Universe for giving me the opportunity to share my New Moon Zenful experience with others. I want to thank my ancestors for being present.
