Hello my Zenful readers. Happy November and Happy Sunday to you all. How are you this New Moon in November? How was your week over all including your weekend? Did you enjoy your Halloween? The weather was unusually mild by us so it was a lovely warm Halloween for the kids on my neighborhood.
Halloween as you know and I had mentioned is not just a day of "trick or treating". But to also honor those that have passed away. It seems we have all sorts of anniversaries to celebrate when one passes. Would it be to hard to remember them? The knowing that we can't speak to that person, see that person, ever again, is a feeling we never want to feel. One will never know when we may see a loved one again. So for now, let us all embrace one another and love each other because as the saying goes, tomorrow is never promised.
I've been fortunate to not know the devastating feeling of a loved one passing, it's been many years. But I have lost loved ones on the most special of days. Birthdays. It's not easy to loose someone, but to loose them on one's birthday, Father's or Mother's Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas even. I can tell you, first hand, those days, will forever be changed, from what it was. It's a bittersweet feeling. But it's up to us to see how we will mourn and remember. Is there a certain time of year that you'd like to remember? The anniversary of the passing? Or maybe their, birthday is best to remember them, or All Hallows' Eve, Thanksgiving, or Christmas even. Any day of our choosing we can remember someone who's passed away. We can celebrate their life. Yes, it is extremely sad they are not longer with us. But since they aren't, why not remember the light that they were when they were with us.
Let us give a moment of silence for those we have lost. I have also lit this one candle to honor them. Lets bring forth their LIGHT with memories of positive energy, laughter, and good times.........................
As I mentioned in my last entry. These coming months are a time for being extra grateful/thankful, for what we have. Yes we should be grateful/thankful everyday, and I am. But why not add a little extra specialness, since it's the Holiday Season. You'll feel good for it. At least it makes me feel good. I'll share some of my Zenful rituals as our Sundays continue.
For today I'd like share My November's New Moon Ritual. I'm hoping you are drinking your water to ready yourself for our Zenful Journey for Sunday Smudge Day.
The new moon is a good time to make a new beginning. To ask for a new love, healing, renew an old commitment to a new resolution.
It's nice to be outside under the night sky looking up at the moon, with candles lit to represent the element fire, a bowl of water for the element water, and for earth burning my sage wand and dried lavender flowers. But I don't own my own home, yet, and sharing a backyard does prevent me from doing anything out doors but I make do with what I have. :)
I usually do my smudging/prayers during the morning or mid afternoon on Sundays. So night rituals isn't something I am able to do, often. However, I have done smudging ceremonies out on my porch. The weather this new moon has kept me indoors. It's windy and rainy today so from past experience it's easiest to do it indoors when the weather isn't in my favor.
Do you have something that you'd like to begin anew? Think of what that is and let's take this journey together in asking the Universe as well as praying for us to be open to receive the new that is waiting for each of us. We will of course also smudge for us all to have a great week.
Let's begin by breathing deeply and exhaling. Let's clear our mind from the everyday noise for these few moments. Let's ready ourselves to enter our Zenful "happy places".
Today, my Zenful happy place is in Australia. I have a google friend that lives there and she posted some wonderful picture of sunsets and sunrises, by her home. They were all lovely. She had this specific one, that I saw myself there and smudging. I knew this would be my Zenful happy place for today's journey. Are we all ready and in our meditative state?

Opening smudge prayer
I'd like to ask The Lord our Father as well as The Universe to be here with us today on this New Moon as I smudge & cleanse each of those that are reading this.
I'd like to also ask my ancestors to be present, as well as the elements earth, rain, wind, & fire to be here with us. I'd like to call on the goddess of the north, east, south & west. As well as our archangels Raphael for healing, Michael for protection, Gabriel for revelation & Uriel for wisdom.
Please release us all of any negative energy that does not suit or support our needs. Please Lord and Universe be here with us and help us during our time of needing healing, protection, revelation, and wisdom.
Please let us all have a drama free and great work week. Let our children have a wonderful week at school and daycare. Please let all issues regarding friendship, spouses or family be resolved as they are meant to be, in a kind and peaceful manner.
Please see the sage and lavender smoke carry away your intent for your new beginnings. See the sage smoke carry away all your worries and see them blown away with the element wind, burn them away with the element fire, soak them away with the element water so that the element earth may ground you. Take these few minutes to visual this and clear this away......

(Today you'll see I've burned both lavender as well as sage. The lavender is the "specialness" for me in this New Moon Ritual.)
Closing smudge prayer
I'd like to thank you Lord and the Universe for giving me the opportunity to share my New Moon Zenful experience with others. I want to thank my ancestors for being present. I'd like to also, thank the elements earth, rain, wind, & fire for being with us. I'd like to thank the goddess of the north, east, south & west. Thank you Lord and Universe for always looking out for us and taking our intents to where they need to go. We will be waiting to receive these Positive New Beginnings with open arms. Thank you for giving us all the Blessings we have. Thank you for our yesterday's, for our today's and for the abundance of a wonderful week ahead.
