This is a tree that is in my backyard. I love the colors of the leaves that swayed this breezy last Sunday of October. The weather today wasn't as cold as it's been these past few days. This next picture will be a testiment of what a lovely bright day it is.
It was in the 50s earlier today. How was the weather in your last Sunday of October? (Do u see the smile in the clouds?)
But before we celebrate her born day. We are all celebrating,... can you guess????
All Hallows' Eve.
Ooooooooo scary. BOOOOOO!!! :)
This Thursday as you know is Halloween day. I do enjoy Halloween. Do you? We've had that great opportunity to live in an area where the neighbors have carved and light candles in the pumpkins that they've all have lined up on their steps. All so festive. With the heavy scent of pumpkin in the air. We also have a few houses who join forces by decorating their homes and coordinating scariness. It's great. I even remember as a kid, growing up, there would be a guy wearing a weird mask with hair also; kind of Michael Meyerish but not really. He had hands and feet that weren't normal lol. He had two girls with him. "Making sure he wouldn't wonder off." But he'd always try to walk close to you and try to grab you but never touch you. As the two girls called after him, "Oswald come back. Leave the kids alone." Haha. The older kids loved it. The younger kids and their parents knew not to go over to that side. Good scary a$$ times. HAHA Are you all ready for this Halloween? The way our house is perched, somewhat on a hill we don't have any trick or treaters. And by the time we return home from trick or treating ourselves the streets become quiet from mini princesses and or zombies. I've added a link about Hallowen.
Thought it would be a great idea to read about its history.

I know there are some people that do not celebrate Halloween. They may feel it's against their religion. And to each their own, is what I always say. I personally feel that Hallowen is a day that one can dress up and be silly or scary even let go of the seriousness of life. I don't, however, understand why people wouldn't celebrate it, in some form. Halloween is also another day for us to celebrate those that may have passed away. Whether having a framed picture of your loved one(s) that have passed away and have candles lit and or even make a meal and drink wine with positive words and stories about the one being remembered. Yes, it's devastating when one passes away,.....but once the pain has passed, it's always nice to remember them too. Make it a celebration of his or her life. Honor that person by making the foods and sweets that that person liked maybe. Even drink wines, or beers that they may have enjoyed. Celebrate safely of course.
As I have mentioned before sometimes life in general can be hectic and suck our energy. Whether its being, a mother, father, wife, husband, son, daughter, family and friends, work. Smudging helps me recharge my low energy.
There can be other ways that we can recharge our low energy. We need to remember to do something for us, as an individual. Take a few moments for yourself. No matter where that moment may be. Take those few mins to appreciate an connect with nature.
Do you have the opportunity to work with in the field of the aviation industry, if you have that down time which we all have. Maybe the hours aren't your regular 9-5 and you've had the opportunity to see many sun rises. No two are alike in their beautiful colors awaking us with a new day. The earth is also showing you a beauty like no other. Your eyes are the first to see its dawn.
Or maybe your work is somewhere close to the docks. Where your surrounded by the ocean all day. Is there ever a time that you can stop and look beyond the horizon and you breath in the ocean air. Have you stopped and enjoyed how the sun parts the fog on the bay?
Or what if you may have a lot on your mind and you need to take a walk. Is there a special place that you go to which helps clear your over active thoughts? Are you surrounded by hills, mountains, perhaps a lake, that may sooth you? Take all these elements in. Surround and surrounder yourself it's it's glory.
Let's use these visuals to get us into our Zenful place. I don't know about you but I'm ready for a good smudging to get us all ready for the week ahead. Hopefully you all have been drinking your water as you been reading the blog. Remember water is an element which we are mostly made of. Let's replenish ourselves. Let's begin with the opening smudge prayer...
I'd like to ask The Lord our Father as well The Universe to be here with us today as I smudge & cleanse each of those that are reading this.
I'd like to also ask my ancestors to be present, as well as the elements earth, rain, wind, & fire to be here with us. I'd like to call on the goddess of the north, east, south & west. As well as our archangels Raphael for healing, Michael for protection, Gabriel for revelation & Uriel for wisdom.
Please release us all of any negative energy that does not suit or support our needs. Please Lord and Universe be here with us and help us during our time of needing healing, protection, revelation, and wisdom.
Please let us all have a drama free and great work week. Let our kids have a wonderful week at school and or day care. Please let all issues regarding friendships, spouses or family be resolved as they are meant to be. In a kind and peaceful manner.
Please see the sage smoke carry away all your worries and blow them away with the element wind, burn them away with the element fire, soak them away with the element water so that the element earth may ground you. Take these few minutes to visual this and clear this away......
Now for the Closing smudge prayer.
I'd like to thank you Lord and the Universe for giving me opportunity to share my Zenful experience with others. I want to thank my ancestors for being present. I'd like to also, thank the elements earth, rain, wind, & fire for being with us. I'd like to thank the goddess of the north, east, south & west. As well as our archangels Raphael for healing, Michael for protection, Gabriel for revelation & Uriel for wisdom.
Thank you Lord and Universe for always looking out for us and for giving us all the Blessings we have. Thank you for my yesterday, for my today and for the abundance of a wonderful week ahead.
I hope you all have a wonderful All Hallows' Eve week. Enjoy this time with your children and or family and friends.
~~Namaste~~
Awilda.
